End of the Beginning

Set in a dystopian future where Imperial Japanese forces have occupied Hawaii, the narrative explores the grim realities faced by American POWs and civilians struggling for survival under oppressive rule. A puppet king represents the invaders while families of Japanese descent grapple with conflicting loyalties. Concurrently, the U.S. mobilizes its military across the mainland, ramping up production and training to prepare for a counteroffensive aimed at reclaiming the islands and restoring freedom.
