The Aryabhatiya, authored by the Indian mathematician Aryabhata in the 5th century, is a pivotal work in astronomy comprising 118 verses. Notably, its second chapter encapsulates the state of Hindu mathematics up to that period. Two centuries later, the astronomer Bhaskara provided a commentary on this mathematical chapter, enhancing the understanding of Aryabhata's contributions and furthering the study of mathematics in ancient India.
