Focusing on the rapid growth of smartphones and app usage, this thesis explores the Android system and its related studies. It introduces an enhanced experience-sampling questionnaire tool called Fragebogen, designed to aid researchers in collecting data on app usage contexts and to provide developers with valuable feedback on their applications. The tool is tested in a 14-day field study of the official Wikipedia app, generating a data set for analysis and comparison with existing knowledge in the field.
