Navigating her first day at Posada Middle School proves challenging for twelve-year-old Malâu, who clashes with the popular crowd and her school's strict dress code. Struggling to meet her mother's expectations while embracing her punk rock identity, she finds solace in music and friendship. As she forms a band with fellow misfits, Malâu learns the importance of self-expression and resilience, ultimately standing up against an unsupportive administration to defend her right to be herself.
