More about the book
The research focuses on analyzing air quality in new vehicle cabins by examining volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from interior materials. Air samples were collected from two Polish car brands, highlighting differences in VOCs based on interior equipment. Utilizing active methods, thermal desorption, and gas chromatography, the study identified around 200 organic compounds in each vehicle. The findings reveal a complex mixture of VOCs linked to the materials used, posing challenges in determining precise air composition. This work is part of a dissertation conducted at BOSMAL AR&DI Ltd and Wroclaw University of Technology.
