This paper explores the distinctions in politeness between Western and Eastern European cultures, focusing on representatives from Poland and the United Kingdom. Through interviews, it examines whether perceptions of politeness are culturally rooted or individually based. Additionally, it evaluates the linguistic and behavioral patterns of participants to identify specific guidelines of politeness within these cultures.
