His secret affair with Ada Nemesis Pearson Cooper culminated in marriage after her divorce. Galsworthy's early works, published under the pen name John Sinjohn, laid the groundwork for his acclaimed novels, particularly "The Forsyte Saga," which critiques social class and moral codes. A champion of various social causes, he received the Nobel Prize in 1932. Galsworthy passed away in 1933, leaving a lasting literary legacy.
