The Fish Catcher

Set against the backdrop of wartime London, the story follows Mary Fiss as she reluctantly leaves for Devon after a tragic bombing. Accompanied by her sister Daisy and an abandoned boy named Billy, they arrive in a small town where they await new guardians. As Mary, who dreams of being a detective, investigates the mysterious happenings at Wolfdale, she uncovers unsettling secrets about locked rooms, a mysterious stranger, and the whereabouts of a missing girl.
