More about the book
Exploring the intersection of leadership psychology and corporate governance, this thesis examines whether narcissism among board chairs affects CEO compensation, particularly in the context of board gender diversity. Using S&P 500 data from 2008 to 2018, the study tests two hypotheses regarding the negative impact of narcissism and the moderating role of gender diversity. While statistical significance was not achieved, the findings provide insights into the dynamics of CEO compensation and highlight areas for future research, contributing to the understanding of gender diversity in corporate settings.
