Focusing on the management of Non-Performing Assets (NPAs), this study explores banking sector reforms in India and the regulatory framework surrounding NPAs. Findings indicate a significant reduction in NPAs, with foreign banks leading in asset quality despite a decline, while public sector banks and private banks show improvement. Recommendations include establishing a proper database and utilizing compromise settlements and legal avenues to aid banks in effective NPA management.
