The core of the edition is based on the eleventh-century 'Durham Hymnal,' featuring an Old English interlinear gloss. It includes an introduction and commentary detailing manuscript descriptions, sources, liturgical contexts, musical aspects, and an analysis of the Old English gloss, accompanied by modern English translations of the Latin hymns.
