More about the book
The historic Lutheran church in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, built between 1311 and 1484, features a significant east chancel completed in 1322 and a west choir that extends over the street, finalized in 1471. Consecrated in 1485, it played a pivotal role in the 1525 peasant revolt when leader Florian Geyer read the peasants' articles from its chancel. Serving as a key stop on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, the church embodies rich history and architectural evolution.
