The Lost Queen

The story follows Caroline Matilda, the youngest sister of George III, who faces a grim fate of exile and an unwanted marriage to a mentally unstable prince. Despite her pleas for a sister to replace her, she is sent to Denmark, where her isolation deepens due to a language barrier. In this foreign land, she develops a passionate relationship with Johann Struensee, the King's doctor. Their love ultimately leads to their arrest for treason, resulting in tragic consequences that highlight the struggles of royal duty and personal desire.
