Histological analyses across varied beach morphologies uncovered a new size at first maturity and distinct reproductive cycles, challenging the previously accepted habitat harshness hypothesis. Additionally, the study introduced a novel fluorescent tagging-recapture method for efficiently estimating growth rates in these species.
