Transfer Types In Second Language Acquisition Of English

Focusing on the transfer phenomena in language acquisition, this seminar paper analyzes how learners of English as a second language, whose first languages are linguistically distant, experience language transfer. It reviews three studies that highlight various types of transfer based on the learners' L1 backgrounds. The primary research question investigates the specific transfer types observable in ESL learners from unrelated language families, contributing to the understanding of early second language acquisition dynamics.
