More about the book
Set in the mid-1960s, this play explores a morning in the life of artist Henry Faulkner in his Key West studio. The plot unfolds as Henry convinces his houseguest, Hollis, to bring his girlfriend Eva to Jack, a sailor longing for companionship. Hollis, feeling guilty after accidentally harming Henry's cats, becomes increasingly anxious about the situation when Eva and Jack take too long upstairs. The tension builds around Hollis' refrain of worry, culminating in a surprising revelation about Jack's true intentions.
