His secret affair with Ada Nemesis Pearson Cooper lasted a decade before their marriage in 1905. Galsworthy gained recognition with works like "The Island Pharisees" and the Forsyte trilogy, addressing themes of social class and moral codes. An advocate for various social causes, he served in World War I and received the Nobel Prize in 1932. Galsworthy passed away in 1933, leaving a legacy as a pioneering Edwardian novelist.
