When the Pirate Prays

Amid a tropical storm on Gasparilla Island, two Texas cowboys, Shortcut and Tapes, find themselves accused of murdering the Florida governor after giving him a ride. Trapped in a hotel with a cast of quirky characters, they must navigate political intrigue and personal motives while Shortcut develops a romance with the enigmatic ex-nun Mary Lynn, who may be connected to the crime. As tensions rise and an arson threat looms, the duo races against time to uncover the truth and save Mary Lynn from danger.
