This incident led to the naming of the area. Additionally, it describes Sitio Palayan, located near Panamao Mountain, the highest peak in Biliran, where the Mamanwa community resides. Since 1991, the population of the Mamanwa in Sitio Palayan has grown significantly, evolving from two families into a larger, unregulated community.
