Born in London in 1873, Ford Madox Ford is primarily celebrated for "The Good Soldier," yet his extensive literary career includes novels, essays, poetry, and criticism. He collaborated with Joseph Conrad on several projects and founded influential literary magazines, promoting numerous authors. During WWI, he contributed to propaganda and served in the army. His notable series, Parade's End, was published in the late 1920s and gained acclaim in America. Ford spent his final years teaching in Michigan before passing away in France in 1939.
