Duncan MacLeod, a member of an ancient race of Immortals, struggles with his desire to live a mortal life while facing the inevitable call to battle as the Gathering approaches. This event forces the remaining Immortals to fight for supremacy, with victory granting immense power and defeat resulting in death.
