French Gold

Set in the colonial village of Ste. Anne, the narrative intertwines a murder mystery with themes of adventure and romance. Central to the story are Julie Coussat and Auguste Chouteau, whose star-crossed love faces numerous challenges during a perilous keelboat journey from St. Louis to New Orleans.
