More about the book
The study investigates hyperfocus, characterized by intense concentration and diminished awareness of self and surroundings, and its relationship with intrinsic motivation. Conducted with 331 predominantly healthy students, the research utilized a modified Situational Motivation Scale to identify motivational predictors. Findings revealed that amotivation is the strongest predictor of hyperfocus, followed by intrinsic and extrinsic motivations. Additionally, higher task demands significantly influence hyperfocus compared to lower demands, contributing to a deeper understanding of this psychological phenomenon.
