Focusing on adult literacy education in Uganda, this publication evaluates the effectiveness of two programs: Functional Adult Literacy (FAL) and Regenerated Freirean Literacy through Empowering Community Techniques (REFLECT). It highlights the government's recognition of the impact of illiteracy on personal and societal development.
