The Sea Fairies & Sky Island

The story features Trot, a young girl from California, and her companion Cap'n Bill, a retired sailor. In "The Sea Fairies," Trot's wish to see a mermaid leads her and Cap'n Bill into an enchanting underwater adventure, hindered by the evil Magician Zog. In "Sky Island," Trot meets Button-Bright, a boy with a magical umbrella, and together they journey to a fantastical island in the sky, facing challenges from the Blues and Pinks. This edition restores the original text and includes all 164 illustrations by John R. Neill.
