High-Fidelity Modeling of Boiler Feed Pump Systems for Low-Load Analysis

The research focuses on enhancing the efficiency of coal-fired power plants by optimizing the boiler feed pump turbine (BFPT) system, crucial for water delivery to the boiler. It employs high-fidelity modeling using Flownex to create a detailed digital representation of the BFPT and its components. By analyzing this model under varying conditions, the study aims to uncover insights into BFPT behavior at low loads.
