Grandmaster

The narrative follows freshman Daniel Pratzer as he discovers his father's hidden past as a once-promising chess prodigy, who abandoned the game due to its overwhelming pressures. Invited to a parent-child tournament, Daniel initially views his father as a novice, unaware of the emotional and psychological battles they will face together.
