Whirlwind

The story follows Lucas Prouty, a disenchanted meteorologist navigating life after a divorce in small-town North Carolina. His mundane existence is upended when he becomes the sole reporter covering a catastrophic hurricane, leading to a dramatic rescue nine days later. Suddenly thrust into the limelight with newfound fame, including a network job and a movie deal, Prouty also finds an unexpected romance with Kiki, a bartender.
