After Nature

Exploring the intersection of art, science, and nature, this work weaves together the lives of three men: the Renaissance painter Matthias Grünewald, the Enlightenment botanist Georg Steller, and the author himself. Each figure grapples with humanity's relationship to the natural world, revealing a blend of beauty and cruelty in their quests for understanding. Through their stories, an intricate order emerges from chaos, reflecting on the scars left by historical certainties and the ongoing search for meaning in a changing landscape.
