The Fall of Babylon

Set in 1895, the story follows Richard Clayton as he seeks the help of Morton Chapel to investigate a series of mysterious deaths among the East Coast elite, despite presidential disapproval. As they delve into the case, they encounter bizarre bodily markings, unusual behavioral shifts, and signs of deep-seated corruption. The investigation evolves into a team known as SPOOKS, an homage to a name coined by Ulysses S. Grant, focusing on the odd and the occult.
