More about the book
The study focuses on detecting multiple cracks in rotating shafts by analyzing changes in natural frequencies. It emphasizes the impact of crack parameters—number, depth, and location—on the shaft's vibration characteristics. Using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and ANSYS software, the research generates a shaft model and calculates its natural frequencies. The data is then processed through an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) to train networks for accurate crack location and depth estimation. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of this technique.
