Divorce. 1 Woman, 1 Man, 1 Teenage Boy. Since the divorce, Robert has failed to be a part of his son Conner's life. On the anniversary of his last child support payment, though, he wants to make a change. He wants to invite Joyce, whom he used to call his wife, to dinner. Still harboring anger and bitterness about the divorce, though, Joyce finds it difficult enough to even see her ex-husband, let alone be asked to dinner by the man. Overwhelmed, Joyce fabricates she is getting married to a dentist. Conner, present for the awkward moment, watches his grief-stricken father walk away, and confronts his mother whom he knows has not gotten over his father. Confronted with this truth, Joyce let's her heart lead, and she attempts to catch up with her husband.
