Lily is a little girl growing up with just a Mama. Sometimes she stays with Nana and Grandpa and sometimes with Vuvu, her other grandmother. VuVu lives in a beautiful house by the ocean in Malibu. "Don't be cranky," says Mama, but Lily thinks VuVu is cranky a lot. Lily doesn't always have an easy time and she isn't always good, but she learns and has lots of fun. Based on the author's early childhood, the book takes place in North Hollywood, Malibu and Las Vegas. This book includes drawings and photos.
