In 1556 the Spaniards were colonizing Peru and divided it in vireynatos which are ruled by the virey. The virey of Lima was called Count Fernado Cinchon, he had an only daughter, Dolores. She came from Spain to live with her father when Incas were struggling with the colonizers. Huahamac was the head of the rebellious Indians was taken prisoner and he asked Cinchon and his daughter to take care of his daughter Hualma. The Indian girl was treated as another member of virey's family and till the end join both families. Suddenly Dolores and her father became ill of malaria, Hualma knew that Indians, since long time ago, use a remedy from the bark of a tree to cure the fever, but it was only knew by them and that secret couldn't be revealed to Spaniards. She was worry about the health of the people she love and ask Huahamac for the remedy, he gave her the powder and Cinchon and Dolores recovered fast. Their physicians thought that finally they used the correct medicine. The Virey and Dolores took Huahamac and Hualma to Spain as a prove of Christianizing had been successful among Peruvian Indians. There Cinchon asked Huahamac to reveal the mysterious cure for malaria as a condition for his return to Peru, when they arrived Huahamac made a council to gave an account of his voyage and told Indians about the happy future awaiting for them, but they have to share the secret of the fever remedy.
