"O Come, Let God Adore Us" is a collection of three dozen sermons preached in Navy chapels and civilian churches during the Advent and Christmas seasons. In each sermon, familiar parts of the Christmas story are held up, reverently, to the light of imagination to find new facets of revelation, inspiration and understanding of what God was doing, and continues to do, in sending His Messiah into our sinful and broken world. The sermons are organized according to the Revised Common Lectionary readings for Advent, Christmas and Epiphany, and include four useful indices to assist others who preach or study God's word.
