Rory is content working alongside his father on their fishing boat, the Lurach -Aon, until a tragic accident occurs and they lose their boat. Finding work in the North Sea oil industry, he manages for a time and then his job takes him to Edinburgh where he meets a friend from home and experiences a different side to life. Awakened to the pleasures and possibilities of the big city he accepts an invitation to visit Las Vegas and his life changes. He meets a girl and falls in love, but she is not all that she seems.
