More about the book

Earl Meadows grew up with a lineage that was very strong spiritually, mentally and emotionally, so when he went to work on a large cattle ranch at the age of thirteen he took that heritage with him. Not understanding that the rain falls on the just and the unjust alike (Matthew 5:45), he believed he had the world and life by the tail until personal tragedy struck in such a way that he was unable to handle it. Trying to follow in the footsteps of his Grandpa, he pursues the ministry but the path leads him all down hill until, when hope is almost gone, he walks the sawdust trail that his Grandpa spoke so emphatically about. At this point, Earl gains the ability to face problems even though he does not have the answers. It is a long hard trek back up the emotional hill for Earl, but he is determined to not let the troubles and questions of the past over take him. Many years pass when he is unexpectedly rewarded in a way that time only would be able to reveal and he regains the claim on his heritage with a fresh, new understanding of life itself. "All things work together for the good of them that love God and are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
