More about the book

Jean Martin finds herself all alone in the big family house after her parent's death. Jason, her only brother, is countries away. He is assigned to the American Embassy in Budapest, Hungary. In the early morning hours and before leaving on a short vacation, Jason telephones Jean to tell her of his vacation plans to visit Greece. He promises to do shopping for her and to keep in touch. Within days of their conversation, Jean receives notification that Jason has been killed in Romania. Suddenly, her world is turned upside down. The CIA, Jason's employer, dispatches a man to help Jean through the funeral and with all the necessary arrangements. However, the CIA fails to answer all the questions Jean has concerning the accident. Their evasiveness only adds to Jean's confusion. With the assistance of Jason's best friend, Jean finds herself enroute to Europe. Eventually, they both arrive at Jason's apartment in Budapest. Determined to find the truth, Jean finds herself in the middle of a modern day spy network. The plot penetrates through the back streets and tourist sights of Hungary and Romania. Speeding cars, flying bullets and nothing being as it seemed only adds mystery, intrigue and suspense
