More about the book

The days of my childhood are gone forever, but not the memories! While I was writing this book, parts of my life ranging from 1950 to 1965 were relived. The stories were as real as when told to me as a boy, and yes, I was involved in some of the activities that are in the book.It was a time when, compared to today's standards, most everyone was poor, but thank God, they all had a sense of humour. Even as kids we tried to do and say things that would make others laugh. That was our entertainment. We had no TV, Internet, smart phones or electronic games; fun was what we made it to be. Most people had a radio, but again, time was usually limited. In writing this book, it was my desire to recapture the way some people lived at that time. If we fail to do so, those times will pass and be gone forever. In the reading of this book, if I have caused you to smile a time or two, then my mission has been accomplished. And I say thanks to those good folks who gave me those memories. God Bless.
