Hearts of Gold is not your typical romance novel in which a man and woman meet, fall in love, and live happily ever after. It, like life, is much more complex. There is sexual tension, a battle of wills between Veronica and Sheriff Clay, a villain waiting to pounce, a life and death struggle, a smattering of fantasy, a tragedy, and more than a bit of humor. But most of all, it is a complex love story about a woman and the emotions that color her life.
