The purpose of this book is to help a teenager over come desires of self-destruction. It worked for her. It was by her request that it was revised for publication. The idea was to make life seem more difficult than any of their own lives for the purpose of making one feel their life isn't so bad after all, thus, pulling the attending one from their depression.
