Shift of Power, volume three of the Seasons of War series, finds Huck at a crossroads. The North Carolina Militia grows in strength as the green shirts inexplicably pull back to the major cities. Behind their walls, the green shirts construct their new authoritarian society as the rest of the state is forced to suffer in darkness. Huck soon finds himself the target of a deadly sniper imported from Eastern Europe as the militia organizes the defense of the free-South from a pending invasion.
