North Louisiana private investigator Tree McDowell expects an easy assignment when a bevy of senior citizens hire her to record sound levels from wild parties given by their obnoxious neighbor, Mark Donner. She's happy to help, especially after she experiences Donner's insufferable behavior firsthand. But her job begins to interfere with her personal life when her lover, Aaron B. Abraham, CPA, takes on Donner's half brother, Carlos Navron, a suspected crook, as a client. Tree worries that Aaron B. might get in big trouble with the law, or worse, if he does business with Navron.
