Examines how North-West Semitic scribes wrote Egyptian in their Semitic writing systems, with concentration on consonantal correspondences. Shows historical changes and real sound values of Egyptian consonants, and examines Aramaic, Hebrew, and Ugaritic to shed light on Egyptian vocalization.
