In Tyler Makes Friends, a young boy who very much wants to be understood goes about his daily routine and explains what it's like to live a day in his shoes. His teacher encourages him to give making a friend a try by simply saying Hi. The world would be such an awesome place if we could just look at each other, smile, and say "Hello!" Tyler feels accomplished and proud by the end of the book. More importantly, he feels accepted by his peers.
