A short course for travellers, produced with Langenscheidt, which gives the reader a basic grasp of the language and enables them to get by at a "survival" level. It includes 20 units of essential words and phrases to cope with everyday situations, together with background information sections. Also included are guides to pronunciation and grammar, as well as simple exercises and two-way vocabulary lists. The cassette facilitates practice of spoken German.
