This text is part of a series of books designed for children aged seven years and upwards. This particular book is a guide to the evolution, behaviour, and role in civilization of the large and varied dog family. It deals with the whole of the dog family from wolves, jackals and dingos, to labradors, afghan hounds and the pug. It includes anatomy, social behaviour of the dog family, mating and reproduction, as well as uses of dogs and dogs in sport.
