A contrastive study of case in English and Malayalam

More about the book
Case Grammar has revived the study of the basic semantic-syntactic relationships between a verb and its complements in a sentence, first pursued by Panini, the ancient Indian grammarian, in his Karaka theory. The present work critically examines the Indian and Western contributions to the grammar of case and attempts a contrast between English and Malayalam, a Dravidian language, proposing a theory of Nuclear Case Relations which has Universal Applications.
