Andreas Burgers Werk, umfasst eine breite Palette unterschiedlicher Techniken, mit denen er sich immer neu den ihn interessierenden Aspekten von Alltag, Kulturgeschichte und Kunstbetrieb widmet. Die permanente gleichförmige Wiederholung und Variation eigener Werke widerstrebt ihm. Kunst ist für ihn eher eine Möglichkeit der visuellen Forschung, mittels derer er neue »Bilder« generiert. (Autor: Matthias Reichelt, Auszug Katalogtext) Andreas Burger wurde 1967 in Meran, Italien geboren. Er studierte Bildhauerei an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Wien. Heute lebt und arbeitet er in Berlin. Die Ausstellung »Horizontal and Vertical Emptiness« im September 2017 im Projektraum Meinblau, Pfefferberg Haus 5, in Berlin ist der Anlass zu diesem Werkkatalog. In ihm wird eine Auswahl seiner Werke aus dem Zeitraum 2010 bis 2017 gezeigt.
