An Invitro Sem Study of Ni-Ti Endodontic Files
Carbon for Micro and Nano Devices
    • Focusing on the integration of micro and nano devices in modern technology, this book explores both chip-based and flexible electronics. It covers a variety of carbon materials, such as graphene and carbon nanotubes, while elucidating fundamental carbon material science alongside compatible micro- and nanofabrication techniques. Through real-life examples, including sensors and implantable bioelectronics, readers can visualize the practical applications and outcomes of these advanced processes.

    • Despite advantages of NiTi instruments, fracture is the most common procedural error that occurs during clinical use. But various studies reveals that before undergoing fracture these NiTi files may also undergo some distortions after use in certain number of canals. These distortions can be in the form of unwinding of flutes, microcracks, pitting or surface wear. So, it is important to check the instruments for signs of wear and deformation every time it is used in order to avoid the complication of instrument separation. The aim of this study was to comparatively evaluate the distortion of three files - Hand Protaper, Rotary Profile and new Twisted Ni-Ti file using scanning electron microscope after invitro use.Within the experimental protocol of this study,it was found that Ni-Ti endodontic files should be used carefully and in the prescribed manner only and should be checked visually under magnification after every use and those found distorted should be discarded immediately. The new manufacturing processes of NiTi endodontic files also appeared to offer greater resistance to fracture over the traditional process.

    • Emphasizing the complexities of student life, the book explores the journey of personal growth and the challenges that students face. It highlights the importance of resilience, teamwork, and good manners, portraying student health as a critical phase for developing essential life skills. The narrative also touches on the influence of teachers and parents, suggesting that their support is vital for a child's mental development. Overall, it encourages students to embrace their experiences and strive for success amidst the ups and downs of their educational journey.

    • The study evaluates the clinical efficacy of CIA and CNA intrusion arches in treating deep bite cases. Analyzing lateral cephalograms from 50 patients, the research found that CIA resulted in an average intrusion of 1mm, while CNA achieved 1.3mm over four months. Neither arch significantly altered molar positioning, but both caused some retraction of lower incisors. The findings indicate that both types of intrusion arches are effective for lower incisor intrusion, with statistical significance established at a P value of < 0.05.

    • Exploring the financial aspects of dental care, this book delves into various payment mechanisms available to patients and dentists. It aims to guide both parties in selecting the most suitable and viable payment options. Additionally, the text outlines the advantages and potential drawbacks of each payment method, offering valuable insights to enhance the dental care experience for both dentists and their patients.

    • What does one do when they find themselves at an impasse? When they feel half awake and half asleep? When on a metaphoric journey to find who they are or find the world around them? Untangle is a collection of short stories explores the lives of people grappling to find the essence in their lives. Kunal undertakes a journey to meet his lost childhood star, to untangle the messy knots of regret and the time between them. A family's worst fears come to the surface when Abhay decides to not come home one night. A woman narrates a story on a chilly winter night, only one thing is essential-a fire that keeps burning. The lives of these characters bring together a common thread that weaves us all-the need to know one's true self, to feel a connection within and to find what lies beyond us, amidst the alienation of a fast-changing world.

    • Keratin as a Protein Biopolymer

Extraction from Waste Biomass and Applications

      • 237 pages
      • 9 hours of reading

This book provides information about the sources, structure, and properties of keratin as well as its applications. The extraction from different biomass sources (e. g. feathers, hairs, nails, horn, hoof, and claws) as well as the characterization methods of these extracted materials are explained. The development of bioproducts from keratins is challenging and limited since they are neither soluble in polar solvents nor in non-polar solvents. Therefore, the utilization of different microorganisms for the degradation of keratin is also discussed. The main aim of this book is to highlight the unique features of keratin and to update readers with the possible prospects to develop various value-added products from keratins. The book is highly interesting to researchers working in industry and academia on bioproducts, tissue engineering, biocomposites, biofilm, and biofibers.

    • The book explores the promising field of photocatalysis and its diverse applications in energy, environmental remediation, and pollution control. It details the synthesis of Cu (II) soaps from various fatty acids and oils, supported by spectral studies like IR and NMR for structural analysis. The research includes the photocatalytic degradation of these soaps using ZnO as a semiconductor, examining factors such as soap concentration, semiconductor quantity, light intensity, and solvent polarity on degradation rates.
